Field Change Order: 2026 Date of Issue : 16th April 1992 Applicable to : Level 3 Econet Clock Box Reason for Issue: Some Level 3 Econet Clock Boxes have been found to have poor quality soldered joints, in particular Link R7 where it is connected to the PCB top surface (component side). This can cause intermittent loss of communication or slow data transfer, especially in a warm environment. Types Affected: 1001140 to 1001639 (i.e. all 1991 production) Description of Change: On networks that are reported to have symptoms similar to those described above, the PCB should be examined for dry joints. As a precautionary measure, link R7 should be re-soldered to the PCB component side, making sure that the solder runs well into and around the joint. Claim Procedure: Submit a service report, quoting the above FCO number, to your supplier stating the serial number of the Clock unit repaired (must be in the serial number range above). Rework Doc.
