This directory contains the documentation and released software for the RISC iX port of the Berkeley Internet Name Daemon (BIND). To install this software, you *must* first read the documentation contained in the application note. Assuming that you have downloaded the software into local directory /tmp, you should unpack the documentation by typing # cd /tmp # zcat AppNote.tar.Z | tar xvf - this will give you two files: the LaTeX source for the application note (Note204.tex), and the dvi output for the same file (Note204.dvi). If you cannot handle these files, contact Customer Services at Acorn, who will send you a hard copy. There is one change from what is contained in the application note: since the software has been downloaded over the network rather than distributed on a floppy, the line on page 3 which reads # (cd /; dsplit | uncompress | tar xvpf -) should be changed to # (cd /; zcat /tmp/floppy.tar.Z | tar xvpf -) Again, this assumes that you have downloaded the software into /tmp.
