About these pages

Rather than having boring old text-based pages, we've tried to liven ours up a bit with, what we hope is, a friendlier graphical front-end based on the idea of a small town.

In case it's not obvious what the various buildings represent, here is a quick summary of what you will find in each section...

The Town Square
Announcements and information on the status of the pages. What's new.

The Library
Application notes, reference documents, press release archive etc.

The Newspaper
Recent press releases, events, activities, press coverage, comments and statements.

The School
Information of relevance to teachers, students, pupils and school authorities and advisors.

Acorn House
Corporate Affairs: Introduction to the Acorn group of companies, marketing and financial information, excerpts from financial reports etc.
Customer Services: Got a problem? Want to know where your nearest dealer is? Want to attend a training course? Check here for more information.

The Airport
bing..bong.. Welcome to Acornopolis International Airport. Passengers on flights to Acorn destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and elsewhere, are requested to make their way to the terminal. Thank you ...bong

The University

The 'Clan'
The Clan is Acorn's club for enthusiasts. Find out more about it and how to join.
Also contains special area for Clan members only.

The Store
Get information on Acorn's current products. Find your local dealer.
Also contains links for downloading free utility software and updates and patches to existing software.

A short note on design

These pages are designed to look best with web browsers with a white background. In order to achieve a white background, we have made use of the Netscape background colour change facility. If your browser does not support background colour changing and does not have or allow a white background, then we are afraid that the design may not be presented at it's best for you. For an explanation of why we have decided to be 'different', see question two of the Acorn web page FAQ.
